Gary DeNicola is the Founder and Managing Principal of GJD Real Estate Advisors and has over 30 years of experience leading complex commercial real estate initiatives across the United States, with a core focus on retail and mixed-use properties.
 

Over the course of his career, Mr. DeNicola has participated in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and disposition of more than 200 retail, office, multifamily, and mixed-use properties nationwide including more than 10,000,000 SF of retail properties. He has extensive experience advising developers, lenders, debt funds, institutional investors, family offices, and REITs on strategic real estate and portfolio initiatives.
 

Prior to founding GJD Real Estate Advisors, Mr. DeNicola held senior development and investment roles with several nationally recognized real estate organizations, including Regency Centers, AIG Baker Development, and Panattoni Development Company.
 

During his tenure at Regency Centers, Mr. DeNicola played an instrumental role in the company’s expansion from its $108 million IPO to approximately $3 billion market capitalization at his departure. He led the Company’s development expansion into the Washington, D.C. metropolitan market and was integral in establishing the company’s leasing platforms. He was recognized as the company’s top annual producer on three separate occasions.
 

As a developer with AIG Baker, in partnership with AIG Global Real Estate, Mr. DeNicola was responsible for sourcing and developing large-scale retail and mixed-use development projects throughout the United States. He subsequently launched Panattoni Development Company’s Southeast retail development platform in Atlanta prior to founding GJD Real Estate Advisors.
 

Mr. DeNicola holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Real Estate and Urban Analysis, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Real Estate, from the University of Florida. He is a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
 

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. DeNicola has been actively involved in numerous charitable and community organizations, including Easter Seals, The Starlight Foundation, The Society of St. Joseph, and Mentors for Hillsborough County Veterans. He is also the recipient of the Circle of Compassion Award from the Humane Society of the United States.
